Lenten greetings to all of our SAR and Guild members and the Hispanic Committee!
 
Valentine’s Dinner-dance. The Hispanic community hosted its annual San Valentin dinner dance fund-raiser for the benefit of Tagaste. More than 150 people attended the event which was held on February 15. Dinner included wonderfully prepared tilapia, ceviche (not too spicy) and the usual complements of rice and veggies. There was sangria as well as soft drinks, coffee, and tea. The evening’s dancing featured a definite Latin beat with music accompanied by a DJ as well as live singing. There was a raffle and door prizes as well. Well done!

Lent 2020: As we all know, Ash Wednesday is one of the most popular days of the year with everyone, even those who are absent from our Sunday Masses for most of the year coming to receive ashes while hearing those familiar words: “Repent and believe in the Gospel!” The turn out at both Tagaste Monastery and Sacred Heart Parish did not disappoint. All of the services were filled to overflowing and Suffern traffic was gridlocked for a time.
 
The next meeting of the Tagaste SAR fraternity will be on Wednesday, March 4 beginning at 2:00 PM in the Fire Place room. All of our members are encouraged to attend this Lenten meeting.
 
The next meeting of the Pius X Guild will be on March 8 at 10:00 AM in the Guild Hall. The main topic will be final preparations for the St. Patrick’s dinner dance [See enclosed flyer!]
